Primary Responsibilities
Design and Draft Mechanical and/or Electrical Installations for Blackhawk FAA Supplemental Type Certificates (STC).
Create and complete drawings and installation instructions. Incorporate revisions and EO’s.
Will require coordination with various outside companies, as well as coordination between various specialists inside Blackhawk.
Supporting Responsibilities
Support flight testing as required (Weight & Balance, Mechanical & Electrical Installations, Instrumentation Set-up, Data Processing/Review).
Develop strong working knowledge of Pratt & Whitney PT6A Series Turboprop Engine Installation(s).
Develop strong working knowledge of Hartzell Propeller and MT-Propeller installation(s).
Position Key Attributes
Ability to interpret design requirements and develop detailed drawings.
Strong interest in Hands-on and Liaison activities. Assist with part or wiring fabrication, and installations to ensure design implementation.
Must have at least 3 years of aerospace experience in Mechanical or Electrical Design (SolidWorks is preferred).
B.S. in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering is preferred.

Perform routine maintenance updates on different areas and accessories of aircrafts
Run regular maintenance tests and checks to ensure all components are full functioning
Testing aircraft safety
Install replacement parts for anything damaged or faulty
Keep detailed report/log of inventory
Diagnose faults and fix them efficiently
Staying up to date with the latest industry advances and developments
Understanding changes in components of aircrafts
Supporting Responsibilities
Adjust parts and use equipment to meet exact specifications, attention to detail is important to ensure that all aspects of the aircraft work properly
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Knowledge with precision tools and equipment
Understanding of computers and computerized equipment to adjust and repairs
Strong problem-solving skills to be able to troubleshoot issues as they arise

Primary Responsibilities
Coordinate and implement the pursuit of FAA Supplemental Type Certificates (STC) for Blackhawk or for joint STC efforts between Blackhawk and a partnering company
Responsibility will include all phases of an STC project, from design requirements to issuance of the Supplemental Type Certificate by the FAA
Will require the generation of design requirements, FAA project specific certification plans, design details (to include drawings), test plans, instrumentation requirements, test conduct, and reports
Will require coordination with various outside companies, as well as coordination between various specialists inside Blackhawk
Supporting Responsibilities
Support flight testing as required (Weight & Balance, Flight Planning, Test Cards, Instrumentation Set-up, Data Processing/Review)
Review and amend certification documents as required (Test Reports, ICA, AFMS)
Develop strong working knowledge of Pratt & Whitney PT6A Series Turboprop Engine Installation(s)
Develop strong working knowledge of Hartzell Propeller and MT-Propeller installation(s)
Position Key Attributes
B.S. in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering
Must have at least 3 years of experience in one of the following areas:
Writing and Management of FAA Project Specific Certification Plan (PSCP)
Engineering Design Lead (Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems)
Must have 10+ years of cumulative aerospace experience in at least two of the following areas:
Mechanical or Electrical Design (SolidWorks is preferred)
Flight Test Conduct and Data Collection (familiarity with applicable sections of SFTE Reference Handbook and AC 23-8C)
Analysis and Substantiation (Structural, Loads, Fatigue/Damage Tolerance, or Electrical Systems)
Flight Analyst – Performance Data Reduction, Analysis, and Expansion
