The Blackhawk XP28 Engine Upgrade   The Blackhawk XP28 is a simple, bolt-on upgrade for the King Air C90 that replaces existing PT6A-21 engines with current generation PT6A-28. The existing PT6A-21 engines are overhauled and upgraded to a PT6A-28 through an STC developed by Atlantic Turbines. The engines are then installed on the C90 airframe under Blackhawk’s STC to give your King Air more horsepower at altitude, like the popular E90.

Two (2) Freshly Overhauled & upgraded Engines to PT6A-28 620shp with Atlantic Turbines 1500 hour or 5 Year engine warranty.  Parts replaced during upgrade include the following OHC parts:
  • 1st stage planet gear set
  • splined adapter
  • 1st stage ring gear
  • 1st stage sun gear
  • PT6A-28 fuel control
  • Starter control
  • Prop governor
  • High speed & low speed accessory gears
